If you are choosing to use health insurance while at Compass Chiropractic, please make sure you understand how insurance works. Many patients are not familiar with the details of their policy and believe the most common INSURANCE MYTHS. To avoid undue confusion, we strongly encourage our patients to be proactive and informed about their health insurance policy. We hope that by proactively seeking to know, you will have a better understanding of your insurance coverage and how your bills will be handled while under care in our office.
Compass Chiropractic is an in-network provider with most major health insurances. Most policies do cover chiropractic care, but we cannot guarantee that yours will. Prior to your initial examination, we will gather the necessary information to submit claims to your insurer on your behalf.
If you do not have health insurance or your policy has no chiropractic benefits, your account is considered self-pay. This will not affect your care in any way. Many insurance plans have high deductibles and set limitations on the allowable number of visits anyway. With rising co-pays and co-insurance, our office visits are comparable to those amounts. In other words, your out-of-pocket cost may not be much different than if we were billing your insurance. Nearly half of our patients pay directly for care, as they discover chiropractic to be extremely cost-effective. We make every effort to work with your budget and offer payment plans that allow you to get the care you need. The last thing we want is for you to come to us in a crisis. At Compass Chiropractic, we believe that a small investment of your time and money toward your health will be far less time consuming and expensive than trying to recover it.
